In the Healing Heart
Sometimes it starts externally--with the poets and the preachers sharing their lived experiences and learned wisdom so we can begin to acknowledge truth and resonance within ourselves. We read books and take courses and listen to podcasts or lectures that create a spark of recognition within us, and we learn to follow that spark as a compass for beginning to truly understand ourselves.
But there's only so much we can learn externally...
The real journey is the one found within.
It's up to us then.
There comes a turning point in our lives when we look inwardly and follow the path of honoring our own lived and learned experiences. We're asked to look at ourselves with radical honesty and personal transparency, to excavate the deepest wounds because it's here we free ourselves.
The light appears when we have this courage to look within, and that light is carried to the darkest shadows without shame or fear.
It's here we're challenged to peel back old layers of who we thought we were, all we thought we believed, to become who our soul knows us to be.
It's in these moments of raw vulnerability with ourselves that we begin to change the course of our lives.
Wisdom is found in the healing and honoring of our own sacred heart.
